First network meeting in Odense Robotics’ program on AI in automation solutions
Explore AI's impact in automation for a competitive edge through real cases. Rapid AI solution growth and innovation insight will be discussed, along with networking opportunities.
AI in automation solutions
You can expect an exciting afternoon where the presenters, through concrete cases, will provide examples of how AI in automation and robotics solutions already today give the industry a competitive advantage.
The development of AI-based solutions is incredibly rapid, and the same goes for the development of innovative application areas. Therefore, we will also take a glimpse into the crystal ball regarding what awaits just around the corner and what we can expect in the coming years.
There will, of course, also be ample opportunity to network with colleagues from the industry.
Program:
Beckhoff:
Presentation of Beckhoff and a concrete example of AI application in practice and ChatGPT embedded in programming software.
Ambolt AI
Aalborg-based consultancy and development company with AI as the focal point. In the presentation, Ambolt will provide a brief introduction to AI and the many application areas within the automation and robotics industry. They will demystify the concept and address a number of assumptions that they have experience are holding the industry back from implementing AI. Finally, they will present a couple of specific cases on how the industry can effectively use AI in practice.
Karl Damkjær, Aalborg University
Drawing from the research conducted at AAU’s Smart Production Lab, Karl will deliver a presentation about how your car’s GPS gets you from A to B and what it has to do with industrial production. Artificial intelligence isn’t just futuristic visions of robots that can think and speak on their own. Automatic planning is one of the oldest disciplines within artificial intelligence and has been used in many places without people noticing, yet there is still significant potential.
The second part of the ‘AI in automation solutions’ program will be held in September at the Smart Production Lab – Aalborg University

Odense Robotics is co-funded by the Danish Board of Business Development, the Danish Agency for Higher Education and Science and the European Union, as well as a broad range of projects and partnerships.
