Singapore Market Overview
In 2021, Asia, the world’s largest industrial robot market, accounted for 74 per cent of all newly deployed robots. Singapore was seventh largest Asian robot market with 3,467 units installed in 2021. In terms of robot density, Singapore ranked number two. The robots installed in Singapore are mainly in the advanced manufacturing of electronics.
Robots have a vital role in the Singaporean government’s roadmap for sustainable growth. Key industries in Singapore, ranging from logistics, hospitality, food manufacturing, aerospace, maritime, advanced manufacturing and electronics, have sped up the deployment of robots at workplaces to meet customers’ demands and workplace satisfaction. To help companies adopt robots for productivity and safety, the Singaporean government has various schemes for eligible companies, including funding up to 50 per cent of procurement costs. There is also project-based funding for Singapore based companies to tap into robotics and automation research and product development.
If you are a Danish company wanting to explore market opportunities in Asia for your robotics solutions, Singapore can be your next stop to establish your growth plans.
