Background

There is a growing demand for flexible robots and automation equipment in the manufacturing industry because companies want to remain competitive - especially in high-mix low-volume production, where small high-variance series are produced.

Purpose / Vision

The purpose of the demonstration project is to reduce the costs associated with converting flexible robot and automation equipment to new products in a production with small series sizes.

Expected results

The demonstration project will develop a demonstrator in the form of a cloud-based service that can transform a curve drawn in 2D or 3D-CAD and other input parameters into a program that can be run on a flexible robot platform with a dispensing tool.
