Digital Twin for interacting mobile robots
In the project, Digital Twins will help understand the strengths and limitations of mobile interaction technologies with a special focus on the interaction between mobile robots and relevant personnel or other people.
Background
Purpose / Vision
Use case analysis tool for suppliers/integrator: The project aims to be a starting point for technology suppliers and integrators (private companies) to apply the DT concept to analyze and showcase their solutions in virtual scenarios, which address potential end users and their requirements.
lnternal R&D platform for suppliers/integrators: In addition, the project aims to prepare technology suppliers and integrators to apply the DT concept for their internal R&D activities, e.g. for developing specialized motion planning algorithms for interacting mobile robots.
Expected results
Outcome for SDU and AAU
The project will allow SDU and AAU to build a closer cooperation regarding the topics DTs and interacting mobile robots. After the project, both partners will have a common understanding of each other's concepts and available technologies, thus allowing for further collaborations in the future.
Outcome for private companies
The project will allow suppliers/integrators to develop a hands-on understanding of the DT concept. After the project, the partners will be able to assess the strengths and limitations of DTs a) as a tool to work with potential end users and b) as a tool for internal R&D of systems and services in mobile interaction.
