Background

Hop production contains processes that today are carried out 100% manually, but the circle of partners behind the Hops Drone project sees opportunities for new drone-based automation solutions that could be profitable for hop producers.

Purpose / Vision

The purpose of the project is to find the necessary drone and robot technology, which in the long term can rebuild Danish hop production at the individual brewery and automate work processes throughout the global hop production.

Expected results

The aim of the project is to demonstrate a drone in a hop field and identify technological solutions for drone-based automation for tying strings for breeding hops and harvesting fully grown hop plants.
