Identification of tools and processes for designing intention markers and body language for mobile robots
The project is about creating a tool to design robots' body language so that they can perform among humans.
Background
When robots have to navigate and move among humans, the shortest route is not necessarily optimal if one is trying to achieve the best user experience. Therefore, a body language for robots must be developed if they are to perform among humans.
Trials in the project, where performed with the use of a remotely controlled unit, which simulated a robot.

Purpose / Vision
The purpose of the project is to conceptualise a tool for communication between the "soft" psychologists and the "hard" engineers.
Expected results
A tool for designing the body language of robots, which is useful for most mobile robot manufacturers. It is not only partners in this collaborative project who can benefit from it, but also other companies will be able to work with their models in simulation and make extensions to their current navigation algorithms.
