Would you like to join in finding the robotic technological solutions? Then come on October 25th and get networking and inspiration when the Danish Technological Institute and Odense Robotics invite you to a network meeting. The meeting includes presentations on waste sorting automation and a tour of Marius Pedersen A/S to hear and see how waste sorting is done in a large receiving company.
The healthcare system’s climate footprint is a burning issue. Enormous resources are used in the operation of the country’s hospitals and healthcare institutions. The amount of gloves, syringes, and uniforms that are discarded after single use is a clear example.
The green transformation in the healthcare sector is lagging behind, and the potential for recycling is therefore significant.
Robots and automation are part of the solution. A wide range of technologies are in play – from item identification, sorting, and transportation to sterilization.
Therefore, we have established a free network for green transformation in the healthcare sector. The network will convey the needs and challenges of end-users and create space for exchange and collaboration between end-users and companies, as well as among participating companies.
The first meeting was held at Odense University Hospital on June 22, and the second meeting included knowledge from the Center for Sustainable Hospitals in the Central Denmark Region. Even if you didn’t attend these meetings, you are more than welcome to join the network and the third network meeting.
Network meeting on October 25th
On October 25, 2023, we will focus on waste and what happens to it.
We will meet at the Danish Technological Institute, Forskerparken 10 F, 5230 Odense M, where we will learn about the possibilities of automated waste sorting.
Our next stop is the waste reception center, Marius Pedersen A/S, which invites us to spend a few hours in the world of waste. Senior consultant Ole Strøm will tell us about waste types, regulations, recycling, and, of course, take us on an expedition around the factory.
Target Audience
Companies interested in contributing to the automation, facilitation, and efficiency of material recycling from the healthcare sector.
Hospitals and other institutions in the healthcare field that desire knowledge and experience sharing and collaborative relationships within the realm of green transformation.”
